Overview
Financial products carry a unique burden: people won’t engage until they trust the interface with their money. This concept explores what that trust looks like in practice — restrained color, generous whitespace, and data visualizations that explain themselves without a tutorial.
The exercise focused on a personal finance dashboard: account overview, spending breakdown, and goal tracking, designed as a system that could extend cleanly to new features without a redesign.
The Approach
Calm interfaces for an anxious category.
Trust Through Restraint
A muted palette and consistent type scale keep the focus on the user’s numbers, not the interface decorating them.
Self-Explanatory Data
Charts and summaries are labelled in plain language first, with detail available on demand rather than always on screen.
A System, Not a Screen
Components were built as a reusable library, so the product could grow past this initial scope without visual drift.
The Outcome
A live site, built for real guests.
This case study reflects our work with Hotel Zakaria International, from initial concept through to the live website at hotelzakaria.com.
